Wow, over the years a lot has come together that I use with openHAB. The list here on the page even gives me a good overview, since it has become a little confusing. ;-)
Initially, like most other people, I ran openHAB on a Raspberry Pi, in my case it was the 3B model. At some point that became too slow for me, especially when a MySQL database was added. Also, I did not have a good experience with an external MySQL database, because after a (even brief) network failure or a restart of the database server or the machine with the database server, openHAB had to be restarted. So the Raspberry Pi became a small Mini PC, which, however, hardly uses any more watts than the Raspberry Pi due to the selected components.
Otherwise, I mainly have HomeMatic (which is a German/European solution and does not seem to be available worldwide) for the heaters/radiators, Tasmota-compatible components such as Sonoff and Shelly for light and other devices as well as power metering, Xiaomi as sensors for windows, doors, movement, temperature and humidity as well as old classic FS20 components via CUL. With CUL I also operate a weather station that is used mainly because of wind and rain, in addition to temperature and humidity. A rather unusual thing is the particulate matter sensor, which, in addition to the particulate matter, also measures the temperature and humidity outside. I read the electric meter (“elektronische Haushaltszähler eHZ”, a more or less German thing) with an infrared reader, the routers and access points are listed because I use them to record presence and absences.
So here is my openHAB hardware:
